born 1808 Kentucky
Isaac Benjamin Coonfield of Kentucky was born to Barsheba Clark and Isaac Coonfield of Pennsylvania, who had settled into Henry County Kentucky before 1800, and when his father died, he moved the entire family into Indiana, as noted in some of the History Books of Morgan and Brown Counties.
He married first to Lydia Epperson, having a son named Benjamin Wylie Coonfield in 1844,
and when she died, he married her sister Mary.
Ben and his brothers served in the Civil War and he married Martha Frances Young, who seemed to be from the Young families of Virginia who were also early settlers of Kentucky. My 90 year old aunt always heard this family was native american.
In 1870 Arkansas, Martha named a son Benjamin Wallace Coonfield and he married Lattie Little in 1891.
While in Indiana, the elder Isaac Coonfield purchased land in Arkansas dated 1856.
